Telecoms boss welcomes regulation changes

A major shake-up of the Isle of Man's telecommunications and broadcasting regulations is being backed by a representative of one of the phone companies which operates here.

The current legislation was drawn up in the pre-internet, pre-digital era, and a public consultation was recently held on updating the rules controlling the industry.

Chief commercial officer for Cable and Wireless in the Isle of Man Andy Bridson says the changes are very much needed:
