Guides celebrate centenary in sunken gardens

A display of plants and shrubs celebrating 100 years of girl guiding received praise from the Britain in Bloom judges during their tour of Douglas this week.

It's based on the well known guiding emblem, and was created by local brownies and guides in the sunken gardens on the promenade.

Graham Bell found out more from one of the guides involved in the project, Rhiana Watson, and first the leader of the 7th Douglas Trinity Guide Unit, Millie Wright:
