Ramsey Commissioners are looking at whether the town's bye-laws need changing or updating when they run out next year.
Earlier this week, Douglas council leader David Christian promised a tougher approach to some bye-laws in the capital, saying too many people were ignoring them and not enough fines were being issued by enforcement officers.
Each of the Island's local authorities can come up with its own bye-laws, although most follow a standard set put together by the former Department of Local Government and the Environment.
Following a period of consultation, town clerk Peter Whiteway says the Ramsey board is now considering the best way forward:
