by isleofman.com 12th August 2010

BIRDS of prey from all over the world will be on display at Curraghs Wildlife Park this weekend.

The park is holding a falconry day on Sunday, August 15, which will showcase birds including owls, falcons, hawks and eagles.

Ridgeside Falconry, the largest mobile display team in the United Kingdom, will perform flying demonstrations with the birds at 1pm and 3pm. The birds will also be on display throughout the day so that visitors can find out more about them and take photographs.

A limited number of VIP tickets are available for the event. These include entry to the park, a hot buffet lunch and a close encounter with the birds. There will also be the opportunity to speak to head falconer, Philip Gibbons, who will be on hand to answer any questions about the birds.

The park is open from 10am. Entry costs £8 for adults, £4 for children over three, £5.50 for senior citizens and £18.50 for a family ticket. VIP tickets cost £50.
