Could event in France help Island attract more visitors?

New tourism opportunities for the Isle of Man are being examined by the Manx delegation at the huge inter-Celtic festival currently being held in Brittany.

The ten day event in northern France is the biggest gathering of Celtic nations in the world, exposing the Island to 750,000 potential visitors.

Political member for tourism at the Department of Economic Development Geoff Corkish is analysing how the festival could be 'tapped', to attract new business and extra visitors to Manx shores.

He says he has already forged useful links with counterparts in the British Isles:
