Liberal Vannin Party Leader Peter Karran claims government failings are the real reason behind a need for a public sector housing review.

Yesterday it was revealed the Department of Social Care was looking into issues surrounding council and commissioners' homes after concerns were raised by local authorities.

Mr Karran says he's dismayed by suggestions rents could go up, or people could be means tested when they apply for homes.

And he is accusing the government of not doing enough in terms of housing policy:
