Firefighters and police officers to take the stand

by isleofman.com 5th August 2010

Firemen who fought a blaze in which a Douglas man died will give evidence at a murder trial today (Thursday).

The body of 61-year-old builder Terence Losh was found in his flat at 19 Demesne Road in March last year, after a fire swept through the building.

Stephen Paul Leece, of Fairfield Terrace in Douglas, is accused of murdering Mr Losh, and of starting three other fires in the area.

Police officers involved in the aftermath of the blaze, and the investigation into the cause, are also due to give evidence, when the case resumes at Douglas courthouse, at 10am.

The trial began on Monday and is expected to last three weeks.
