The new Department of Economic Development is 'off the blocks', four months after it was created in a major shake-up of the Manx government.
The department is tasked with nothing less than securing the long-term economic viability of the Isle of Man.
That will mean protecting industries which already create wealth and attracting new investment.
Several key appointments have been made, including Tim Craine as director of a new Business Development Agency.
There is also a list of seven key objectives, including much greater promotion of the Island as an international business centre.
