Laptop boost for Shopwatch scheme

by isleofman.com 2nd August 2010

Shops in Douglas are a little bit safer from shoplifters, after a donation of computer equipment.

A laptop has been provided by local retailer T H Colebourn to be used by the security team in the Strand Centre.

The team will use the PC to tell participating shops about suspicious activity and shoplifters in the capital.

Chris Pycroft from the Douglas Development Partnership says Shopwatch is already making a huge impact on the town's central retail area, and the laptop will help the scheme flourish.
