POLICE are investing a number of incidents which occurred over the weekend, including theft and criminal damage.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following criminal damage at a bus shelter on Hailwood Avenue, Governors Hill, opposite the Cat With No Tail pub.
The damage occurred on Sunday between 3.45 pm and 4.45 pm when the front pane of glass was smashed, causing over £500 worth of damage. Police say the area at this time was quite busy and the shelter is situated on a busy road.
Anyone who thinks they could help to identify the offender(s) are asked to contact the police at Lord Street Police Station.

AN ADULT’S red mountain bike was taken from the area of Broadway, Douglas during the early hours of Sunday morning. Police have since recovered this bicycle but are eager to trace the owner in order to have the bicycle returned.

DAMAGE has been caused to the offside wing mirror of a white coloured Vauxhall Astra motor car while it has been parked and unattended on Palace Road, Douglas overnight on Saturday to Sunday. The mirror glass was smashed and the plastic cover broken off.
Police said in a statement this morning (Monday), “This would appear to be yet another mindless act of criminal damage caused to a vehicle and we would like to appeal to anyone who has information relating to this matter to contact Pc Dyer at Lord Street Police Station on 631212.”
