Musicians prepare to head to the Island for Mannifest

A TOTAL of 170 artists will be heading to the Island on the Steam Packet this coming week for Mannifest.

 

The festival takes place on August 6, 7 and 8 at Glen Lough farm just outside of Union Mills.

 

And in addition to visiting acts it will feature some of the very best Manx bands around.

 

The first structures are due to go up at the site this weekend.

 

Mannifest will feature eight stages and three days of bands, DJs and entertainment.

 

It is a family orientated event with an emphasis on promoting and inspiring community creativity and respect for the Island's unique and beautiful environment.

 

Young local talent will have their own platform to perform in association with Soundcheck and Youth Re-unite, The Play People will provide a Circus Space for children and adults, there will be a dedicated healing area, workshops, films, poetry and more.

 

Visiting acts include Alabama 3, who will draw in the crowds, while bands such as Planes Over Paris, I Am President and RedGap will fly the flag for the Island.
  
Meanwhile the Chai Wallahs venue will bring the best of the UK festival scene to the Isle of Man.

 

It promises unique ambiance, positive vibes, happy people and a sound system to blow your mind!
