Capital gets ready for judges

by isleofman.com 31st July 2010

Douglas is on 'green alert' as it prepares for Britain in Bloom.

Judges visiting the capital on Monday, August 9 will be escorted on a specially designed route, beginning at the town's golf course.

It will also include the Middle River biodiversity project, North Quay, the promenade and sunken gardens, Noble's Park and Derby Square.

The tour will finish at the Sefton Hotel.

Council leader David Christian says the bid has received support from volunteer and charitable groups, as well as schools, retail and business organisations, the hospitality industry and local residents.
