'Progress' in battle against drugs and booze

The Manx government's Drug and Alcohol Strategy is being defended by Chief Minister Tony Brown.

Prior to yesterday's release of the strategy's annual report, Rushen MHK Quintin called for a new, more cost effective approach.

He said millions of pounds of taxpayers' money had been spent, with little or nothing to show for it.

But Mr Brown says progress is being made:
