Conservation in Action is being demonstrated at the Manx Museum this afternoon (Wednesday).
Manx National Heritage is providing an insight into work it carries out behind the scenes at its main building in Douglas.
Items dating from the 18th century will be on display during a practical demonstration of repair methods used on the Manx national archive collections.
The talk, from 2pm, is being led by MNH's conservator for archives, Mike Ward.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Man's first Festival of Archaeology is continuing at the Centre for Manx Studies.
Today's programme features 'Diggers in Action', at the old stable buildings at the Nunnery.
There's a chance to research excavations at what is seen as an important Iron Age and early medieval settlement.
The session runs from 2.30 and 4.30pm.
