ACE card design competition winners revealed

by isleofman.com 28th July 2010

Two Isle of Man school pupils are celebrating after having their designs were picked to grace Manx National Heritage's new ACE cards.

Seventeen-year-old Ballakermeen student Sophie Miller won the secondary school category for her Laxey Wheel-inspired image, while the primary school section was won by seven-year-old Elizabeth Shooter from Cronk-y-Berry.

Her picture is also of the Lady Isabella.

The competition was judged by the Isle of Man Department of Education and Children, Manx National Heritage and Conister Bank who jointly support the ACE scheme.

The cards, which give access to every MNH site, will be available to every person 18 and under and in education on the Island from next term.
