by isleofman.com 27th July 2010

There were two hat-tricks on the third day of the European Under 17 Division Two Championships on the Isle of Man as Italy and the Island completed their own hat-trick of victories.

Italy made it three wins out of three in the game where Abdur Bhuiyan took the day’s other hat-trick as Gibraltar were bowled out for 52. Isle of Man lead Group B after their 60 runs victory over Spain at St Johns.

Midhun Lal produced the individual performance of the tournament so far when he took four wickets, including a hat-trick, and scored an undefeated 68 as Switzerland claimed bragging rights over Austria at King William’s College.

Only two batsman reached double figures as Greece were shot out for 49 by France who had the quickest win of the tournament at Crosby.
