Manx Government reserves revealed

The Isle of Man Government has confirmed it has over a billion pounds in the bank.

Nearly ?600 million is held in a managed fund for National Insurance Investments, a further ?47m for hospital estates and ?15m for economic development.

Other funds include a Manx currency account and over ?221m in the public service employees pension reserves.

Government reserves account for ?385m.

The information was released in response to a question asked by Michael MHK David Cannan in the House of Keys.
