Reciprocal Agreement update due

by isleofman.com 27th July 2010

The outcome of talks between UK and Isle of Man government officials over the Reciprocal Health Agreement could be clearer later today (Tuesday).

It follows a question from the Colchester MP Bob Russell to the Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley, ahead of the House of Commons breaking for its summer recess.

Mr Russell has asked how talks are progressing and wants assurances a new agreement will be in place before the current one expires at the end of September.

The answer is due to be published later.

Last month, Health Minister David Anderson told Tynwald he was confident a new deal would be signed soon.
