Families leaving the Isle of Man to go on their summer holidays are being reminded to make sure they have adequate insurance.
The Department of Health says all travellers leaving the Island should make sure they have good insurance as costs can spiral.
The cost of medical care in Europe can be very high: in some countries people are expected to pay for everything from the ambulance ride, all drugs, nursing care - even your food and drink.
It doesn't end there.
Although a temporary reciprocal agreement is in place with the UK it doesn't cover repatriation costs which can be as high as ?2,000 from Britain - and ten times as much in Europe.
The Government is stressing it is not its responsibility to arrange for people to be returned to the Island - or to cover healthcare in European countries - so having good insurance is vital.
