Back to Bridgewater for Island patients

by isleofman.com 26th July 2010

There’s praise for the Health Minister David Anderson this morning (Monday) after he scrapped a taxi contract for Manx patients in Liverpool.

His department says City Kabs wasn't living up to the terms of the contract, which it won earlier this year from the previous company Bridgewater Cars.

Bridgewater will now once more provide the service following City Kab’s sacking.

North Douglas MHK John Houghton raised concerns about City Kabs when it was awarded the contract.

He says the minister has lived up to a promise to get rid of the taxi company if it didn’t provide a quality service.
