Hope for refectory jobs

Staff at Isle of Man College refectory have told the Education Minister they're confident they can find the huge savings needed to bring the facility out of the red - and save their jobs.

The refectory made a loss of ?182,000 and 17 staff have been told their jobs may be cut unless substantial savings can be found.

Minister for Education and Children Eddie Teare says his meeting with staff and their union leader last week was positive.

He says a 'road map' to put the facility back on a viable footing is now in place:
