Firearm rise defended

The Home Affairs Minister has defended a hefty rise in the cost of owning a firearm - saying it still represents good value.

There's been no increase for over a decade but now it'll jump from ?45 to ?120 to own a regulated weapon - which includes crossbows and shotguns – to be phased in over a two year period.

Despite some politicians criticising the price hike – which covers an owner for 10 years - Adrian Earnshaw says it’s easy to justify.
