Members of the Island's judiciary gathered this morning to mourn the passing of First Deemster Michael Kerruish.
They gathered in a packed Courtroom 3 at Douglas courthouse to hear a eulogy delivered by the second Deemster, David Doyle.
Members of Deemster Kerruish's family were also present.
Deemster Doyle spoke of a hard working, diligent, kindly and much loved man, who was able to put his legal persona to one side and join in such events as the Laxey dip with enormous enthusiasm.
Judge of Appeal, Geoffrey Tattersall, told the room how generous a host Michael Kerruish was and how his passing was a great loss to the Island.
President of the Law Society Jonathan Wild delivered the third and final eulogy.
