Organisers of the "With Women Worldwide" Family Fun Day at the Villa Marina are apologising to members of the public for having to cancel today's event.
The day should have been the first major public fund raiser for the new charity, formed by mid wife Anne Graham, who was motivated to set it up after her experiences on cycling treks through poverty stricken parts of Cuba and India.
WWW is hoping to raise ?5,000 in its first year - but had to cancel today due to the very poor weather.
It was unable to hold the event inside the Villa because the area had been in use for other functions.
Anne says they're now hoping to re-arrange an event later in the year.
