by isleofman.com 16th July 2010

Manx Gas says it’s ready to tackle the mammoth task of converting homes around the Island to natural gas.

Earlier this week Tynwald voted to spend the ?24 million needed to put the necessary infrastructure in place.

Douglas and its surrounds already has natural gas, but homes from Ramsey to Castletown will switch from LPG and Town Gas over the next couple of years.

Manx Gas Managing Director Robert Gardner says it’s a huge project.
