End of an era at the MEA

by isleofman.com 15th July 2010

The top man at the Manx Electricity Authority will bow out on Friday after a 44-year career in the Island's electricity industry.

It’s the final day at work for Chief Executive Ashton Lewis.

He took over as top man at the MEA after the ?120 million unauthorised loan affair came to light and was project manager for the new gas turbine power station at Pulrose.

Mr Lewis says he’ll miss his colleagues but believes it’s the right time to call it a day.
