Change of heart for Treasury Minister

by isleofman.com 15th July 2010

Treasury Minister Anne Craine says she’s had a change of heart about letting others in on the process of putting the Island’s budget together.

Yesterday in Tynwald, her motion to look at ways of involving others in the budget was given overwhelming backing by the court.

But it’s just months after she voted against a bill from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson which asked for just that.

Mrs Craine says on reflection, she’d like Tynwald members to have more say in the annual budget – but it won’t be for some time yet.
