GEOFF Corkish MHK was the guest of honour at Strand Group’s open day when he officially opened the new scanning services department with its state-of-the-art technology offered by the Group’s Storall Company.
John Hellowell, managing director of the Douglas-based Strand Group, said: "The new scanning service is a natural extension of our document storage facility and is a direct result of customer demand.
"The latest technology makes document storage that much more accessible with documents able to be remotely accessed through laptops, PC’s and even smart-phones. We are absolutely delighted that Mr Corkish was able to come along and officially open the new facilities which are already proving extremely popular."
Storall is ISO9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO27001 (Information Security Management Systems) accredited and the new scanning department has been built to satisfy and exceed the strict requirements of these regulations.
The department includes state-of-the-art Panasonic scanning equipment and through a partnership with Xerox (DocuShare) can offer virtual access to scanned files and documents for clients.
The open day was attended by a number of the Group’s customers and included a tour of its facilities at Spring Valley Industrial estate.
