Cafe Laare team triumphs at Urban Street Soccer event

by isleofman.com 14th July 2010

MORE than 50 young people turned out for an Urban Street Soccer tournament run by the police and the youth service recently, despite bad weather.

The competition, at St Ninian's lower school (Park Road), Douglas, followed on from an event at the former prison in Victoria Road last month.

This latest tournament was the World Cup Edition and after numerous games the winner of the Cafe Laare-sponsored trophy was none other than the Cafe Laare team.

The youth bus was in attendance to provide food and shelter for everyone.
