The public will get a final say in putting together a Freedom of Information Act for the Isle of Man it has been announced today (Monday).
The public was first asked to give its views on the matter in 2007 and after considering the responses, the Council of Ministers has launched a second round of consultation.
The Chief Minister, Tony Brown, says it should be the last step before it goes before Tynwald for approval.
The consultation documents, which include the current guidelines on freedom of information, are available online at gov.im/cso or at the Tynwald Library. The period for responses lasts until September 10.
