Deadline to take part in the Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival is fast approaching

MANX food and drink producers, restaurants, crafts people and entertainers are reminded that it is now their last chance to apply to take part in the second Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival,

 

The festival will be held on  Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26 at the Villa Marina, Douglas.

 

Local businesses can exhibit and sell their products, provide a demonstration in the Manx Food Theatre or sell refreshments to festival visitors. 

 

Organisers are also looking for music and dance acts to perform at the Festival.  Celebrity Chef Gino D‘Acampo will be attending on the Saturday.

 

The event attracted more than 8,000 visitors last year.

 

To be eligible to apply to take part businesses must meet the following criteria:

• All produce sold must be grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed in the Island or where serving and preparing food this must contain local produce.

• Local means produce from the Isle of Man.

 

There is also the opportunity for pubs, restaurants, cafés, hotels, shops, attractions or local authorities to host a fringe event promoting Manx food.

 

The organisers are open to any suggestions.
