Itex win Medis It's a Knockout Challenge

by isleofman.com 12th July 2010

THE fifth annual Medis ‘It’s a Knockout’ contest yesterday was won by the team from Itex on a sun-soaked afternoon at Noble’s Park.

The fun-packed afternoon was watched by a large crowd with 22 teams competing against each other in a series of wacky challenges, ranging from obstacle races in Teletubby outfits to plunges into foam-filled pools and, of course, the obligatory buckets of cold water!

Two local charities were selected by Medis to benefit from this year’s event - The Children’s Centre and Crossroads Caring for Carers.

A specialist company organised the event which is based on the popular 1970s TV show ‘It’s a Knockout’. The winners after a long battle were Itex.

This was the final staging of the event. In five years Medis has raised in excess of £50,000 for Manx charities.
