The Houses of Parliament are being urged to join in the Tynwald Day celebrations from next year.
Romford MP Andrew Rosindell, chairman of the British Isle of Man All-Parliamentary Group, has tabled an early day motion asking that they join the Isle of Man in upholding centuries of proud tradition and the oldest continuous Parliament in the world.
He also asks for the UK Government to look forward to a further 1,000 years of Manx self-government and home rule.
Fourteen members of parliament have supported the motion, including Ian Paisley Junior - the son of the former First Minister of Northern Ireland, and Northern Ireland's Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Gregory Campbell.
