The two day Rally Isle of Man starts from the pitlane at the T.T. Grandstand at 10.30am this morning.
Crews face a total of 21 stages with the forecast weather set to make the challenge even harder - rain is set to play a part making tyre choice all-important.
The event is part of several championships including the British Rally Championship.
One man set to miss out is Manx driver Mark Higgins.
