Chief minister welcomes new Isle of Man Brand Champion

THOMAS Miller (Isle of Man) Ltd has become an Isle of Man Brand Champion, a move welcomed by Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK.

 

The Isle of Man Brand Champions are committed to promoting the Island and the Freedom to Flourish message.

 

Thomas Miller joins a growing list of the Island’s leading companies supporting the Freedom To Flourish campaign which aims to protect the Isle of Man’s identity and community and build its international profile. 

 

Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK said: "Thomas Miller’s commitment to working with others in our community, to enhance the Isle of Man’s national identity and help people make the most of their potential is deeply appreciated.

 

"The Brand Champions programme puts the values and messages of the Freedom to Flourish strategy into action.

 

"It serves as an inspiration to those who wish to see the Isle of Man’s economy continue to develop within an environment that also nurtures our unique heritage and strengthens social cohesion.

 

"Building on the positive relationship between government and the local community is key to the Island’s continuing success.

 

"The Isle of Man Brand Champions, comprising 36 of our leading organisations and employing well over 6,500 of the Island’s workforce, has a major role to play as we work together to secure our future."

 

Ian Jarrett, Chairman of Thomas Miller (Isle of Man) Limited, said the company was delighted to endorse the Freedom To Flourish message.

 

He said: "The Isle of Man Brand Champions scheme is an excellent example of how government and the private sector work together for the benefit of the Island and its community.

As part of its 125th Anniversary celebrations Thomas Miller will be undertaking a variety of fund raising activities and community related projects throughout the year.
