A rehearsal for Tynwald Day on Monday has been held in St John's.
Meticulous planning goes into the formal ceremony on Tynwald Hill, an ancient tradition upheld with pride by the Manx nation.
A walk-though involving senior members of the Manx parliament, VIPs and the band of the Royal Marines, took place earlier today (Saturday), to ensure everything goes without a hitch.
The event should prove an impressive spectacle, as always, with no major hitches during the rehearsal.
An afternoon of entertainment promising something for everyone is held after the ceremony.
This will include the popular dog agility trials, a Grand Manx Dance bringing together traditional Manx dance and music groups, and the Tynwald Day Music Fest, which will see every kind of live music performed on stages around St John's.
