Former Solo Champion Cameron Donald will race at this month's Southern 100 meeting.
In 2006 he equalled Joey Dunlop's record of taking the title when making his debut at Billown.
It's a timely boost for organisers with Conor Cummins definitely out and defending champ Guy Martin fighting to be fit enough.
Donald will race Relentless by TAS Suzuki machinery.
The Southern 100 takes place between Monday 12th and Thursday 15th July.
