More women should 'consider Manx politics'

by isleofman.com 2nd July 2010

There should be more women in the House of Keys.

That's the view of a member of the Legislative Assembly of the New South Wales Parliament in Australia who's currently visiting the Island.

Sonia Hornery was encouraged to come here after talking to Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen at a meeting of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference.

After watching a sitting of the Keys earlier this week, she told James Davis the one thing which jumped out at her was the shortage of female politicians.
