College cuts - talks to start next week

Talks will begin next week as catering staff at the Isle of Man College try and come up with cost-saving ideas which could save their jobs.

Up to 17 part and full-time posts could go in the refectory which last year made a ?182,000 loss.

Steve Salter, the full-time official for union Unite, says job cuts aren’t a foregone conclusion.
