A man who stabbed himself in the stomach, then blamed it on his ex-partner, has been remanded in custody by the deputy high bailiff.
Twenty-eight-year-old Andrew Krypner, of no fixed abode, admitted a charge of making use of provoking behaviour.
The prosecution said Krypner had a row with his ex-partner Katie Crawley after going to see his three kids at her home in Ramsey on Sunday.
She told him to leave, he refused, picked up a knife and stabbed himself.
Miss Crawley ran off, while Krypner went to Ramsey Police Station and told them she'd stabbed him.
She was arrested, but then let go when Krypner admitted doing it to himself.
He was then arrested.
The prosecution said the six cuts Krypner had given himself were superficial.
He'll appear again on July 6, when he faces a similar offence involving Miss Crawley.
