TV follows rise of Manx girl

by isleofman.com 30th June 2010

A TV documentary is to follow the extraordinary rise to fame of a 14-year old Manx schoolgirl.

Becky Flint from Ramsey has 'made it big in Japan' after posting a video of herself dancing to a Japanese pop song on YouTube.

Now she's a super-star in Japan, mobbed wherever she goes.

BBC3 has been following Becky - who performs as Beckii Cruel - and will tell her story as part of a series about growing-up, to be screened in August.

On top of that, Beckii's just recorded a new single at Universal Recording Studios in London - and next month will feature in a glossy magazine article for United Colours of Beneton.

Beckii says new doors are opening all the time.
