Impact of UK Budget being assessed

by isleofman.com 29th June 2010

Any impact the emergency UK Budget may have on the Isle of Man is being assessed.

That's the claim of the Chief Minister this morning in response to a question tabled by Michael MHK David Cannan in the House of Keys.

Mr Brown said the Council of Ministers had received an initial briefing from Treasury officials which covered the "headline issues" in last week's budget in the UK.

However, he said any less obvious effects may take some time to come to light.
