THE Isle of Man’s e-gaming sector has walked away with a number of top honours at the annual eGaming Review Business to Business Awards.
Manx companies were nominated for ten of the major awards and won six, described by the Department of Economic Development as “superb”.

• Playtech - ipoker (Poker network of the year and poker software supplier of the year)
• Microgaming (RNG Casino Supplier of the year)
• Continent 8 Technologies (Datacentre of the year)
• GameOn Marketing (Marketing partner of the year).
• Manx Telecom - highly commended (Connectivity supplier of the year).
The Isle of Man also enjoyed strong representation at the associated conference and exhibition, EGR Live which was held in the same venue. Eight private sector companies exhibited alongside the Isle of Man Government and there were many other attendees from the Island's e-gaming community.
Garth Kimber, Head of e-Gaming Development, Isle of Man Government's Department of Economic Development said, “We were delighted by the strong representation of Isle of Man e-Gaming companies at the eGaming Review Awards ceremony and it is superb to have won six awards.
“The Isle of Man presence at eGaming Review Live was an endorsement of the quality of the Isle of Man's e-Gaming industry enhancing our reputation as a centre of excellence.”
Department of Economic Development Minister Allan Bell MHK said, “Our success in achieving these awards further demonstrates the commitment of the Isle of Man towards providing for our clients as well as the continuing growth of the e-gaming industry.
“The expansion of the e-Gaming sector has also opened up new opportunities for local companies, such as corporate service providers, lawyers and accountants, allowing the Island to build a world-leading e-Gaming infrastructure.”
Roger Raatgever, CEO, Microgaming, said, “We are extremely proud to win the award for RNG Casino Supplier of the Year at the first EGR B2B Awards, and gain international recognition for our Casino Software.
“The same unique approach that established us as the market's leading provider of online gaming software continues to set us apart from our competitors.
“I would like to extend my thanks to the whole Microgaming Team; this award is a testament to their hard work, dedication and passion.”
The awards were presented by the former Olympic athlete, Steve Cram, at a gala dinner at London's Old Billingsgate market.
