SCARBOROUGH Bike Week starts this weekend and motorcycle racing fans can expect to see a number of Isle of Man TT stars in action during the event.
The Barry Sheene Race Festival, a one day race meeting for classic and modern bikes as well as parades for classic race machines, kick starts the action on Sunday.
The Barry Sheene meeting has attracted a star studded entry including two-times TT winner Ryan Farquhar who finished runner up in two races at the TT this year.
The main interest in the classic will be the fight between Farquhar and fellow TT rider Olie Linsdell who will be renewing their battle on the Italian Paton machines.
Practice starts at 9am with the first race at 12.30pm.
Auto 66 is arranging three speed events during the week - the first one at Oliver's Mount on Tuesday, July 6 is a speed hill climb starting at 10.30am.
The following day there will be a sprint and stunt show at Oliver's Mount, followed on Thursday, July 8 by a hill climb in Dalby Forest.
Rounding off the week will be the annual Cock o’ the North Road Races on July 10 and 11. They have attracted a huge entry and will cater for all classes from 125 to Superbike and Formula II Sidecars.
Practice will start at 9am each day with racing from 1pm on the Saturday with a possible earlier start on Sunday yet to be confirmed.
10-times TT winner Ian Lougher and fellow TT winners Ryan Farquhar, Adrian Archibald and Chris Palmer are among the solo riders while sidecar TT legend Dave Molyneux, with passenger Patrick Farrance, heads the sidecar entry alongside Conrad Harrison, Ian Bell and Dave Wallace.
