Douglas councillor calls for planning handover

A Douglas councillor says if it's looking to save money, the Manx government should hand more powers back to local authorities.

Appearing on Manx Radio's Sunday Opinion programme today David Ashford said in particular planning should be dealt with by commissioners, like it is in the UK

Mr Ashford told Roger Watterson there were other areas he felt should be looked at too:
