by isleofman.com 25th June 2010

With up to ?300 for an individual entrant, 13 trophies and 25 prizes all to be won there's never been a better year to enter Ramsey in Bloom, say organisers.

Entries are up on previous years and include 12 newcomers - the highest number since the competition began.

The closing date is June 30 and judging, by Ramsey Town Commissioners' head gardener Ken Barnes and horticulturalist Pat Goodway, will take place in mid-July.

Whether you have rolling acres of garden, a pocket handkerchief patch or a window box there’s a category to suit – six in total: Public building and Ramsey schools; Commercial premises; Private gardens; Special categories, including ‘little gems’ and special features;
Community project and wildlife garden.
