Car taken from Port Erin involved in crash

POLICE are investigating a series of thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles in Port Erin.

 

The crimes took place overnight last night and into the early hours of this morning.

 

A number of items have been taken from the vehicles including a Panasonic radio/CD player, a Pioneer radio/CD player, clothing and personal effects.

 

One car, a blue Audi, was taken without the owner’s consent and was recovered following a crash in the area of Spaldrick, Port Erin.

 

The driver/occupants of the vehicle left the scene prior to the arrival of the police. 

 

Investigations are continuing and the police are reminding people to check their parked vehicles are locked and secure.
