Douglas man denies death by dangerous driving charge

A 41-year-old man has appeared in court to deny causing death by dangerous driving.

Steven Darren Callow of Ballabrooie Way in Douglas appeared before Deemster Doyle at a Court of General Gaol Delivery.

He pleaded not guilty to causing the death of Mark Penketh by dangerous driving on September 16 last year.

The offence is alleged to have been committed at the junction of Ballaquayle Road and Woodbourne Road.

Mr Callow was bailed until July 30 for a trial date to be fixed.
