Lowey with Late Start to Title Defence

by isleofman.com 18th June 2010

Rowany player Paul Lowey begins the defence of his Isle of Man Golf Championship title on Saturday at Ramsey.

He's in a field of 71 competitors trying to finish in the top sixteen to qualify for the matchplay stages.

Lowey doesn't tee-off for his first round until 10.30am - the first three players away begin at 7.30am.

Manx Radio Golf correspondent Roy Moore believes Lowey starts as one of the favourites but expects a strong challenge from the home club:-
