Are your pictures good enough to help promote the Island?

PHOTOGRAPHERS are being invited to enter a competition run by Isle of Man Tourism.

 

The 2010 photo competition is open to residents and visitors and photographers have until August 31 to lodge their entries.

 

Seven prizes of ?100 will be awarded to the winning image in each category, with seven prizes of ?50 awarded to each runner up.

 

Director of Isle of Man Tourism Rod Nipper said: "I would encourage everyone to take advantage of the fantastic weather we are having of late and get out and about around the Isle of Man with your camera.

 

"I’m sure many people have also taken some fantastic pictures of the recent TT Races which would fit well into the events category."

 

Photographers can enter up to two images in up to four of the following categories: Manx Heritage and Culture, Coastal, Countryside, Wildlife, Transport, Isle of Man events, Island Life.

 

Winning images will be used by Isle of Man Tourism for promotional and marketing activities to help promote the Isle of Man as a visitor destination.

 

Entry forms and a full list of rules are available on the website – www.visitisleofman.com or from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal. All entries should be sent to Isle of Man Tourism, St Andrew's House, Finch Road, Douglas, IM1 2PX, and be clearly marked Isle of Man Tourism Photo Competition.
